Hi gang! So, I’m on vacation right now in Savannah, Georgia (you can follow along on my Instagram), but I still wanted to get you the one post you can depend on on Oddly Lovely – my monthly Stitch Fix!
For those of you who don’t know what Stitch Fix is, it’s a subscription box clothing service where for $20 a box, you receive a personal stylist who will send you a selection of clothes picked out specifically for you. Then, you keep what you want and return the rest, while the $20 down payment can be used as a discount against any clothes that you keep.
This month, my beloved stylist Ariann did an awesome job once again! I was initially planning to only keep one item, due to some steep car repairs this month, but fell in love with another one as well. See what I received, what I returned, and what I kept:
Skies are Blue Breslin Crochet Detail Top, $54 – Returned
As I put it in my review back to Stitch Fix, this top was a solid “like.” It’s cute, I like the lace detailing, and I need some everyday short sleeves. However, I already wound up keeping two other items and Reg said this was his least favorite out of the three. It was also pretty wrinkly out of the box, which worried me because I never iron.
Eden Society Elodie Short, $54 – Kept
I had asked Ariann for some lacy or high-waisted shorts, and these were perfect! Mustard yellow is a color that I really want to incorporate more into my wardrobe, and the cut on these was adorable. I’ve already realized that they’ll show stains quite easily, which is a bummer, but I’m really happy to have some nice-ish shorts for summer. They look very cute with tights, no?
Renee C Phineas Kimono, $48 – Returned
I had seen a very cute kimono on Stitch Fix’s instagram, and sent it over to Ariann to see if they had it in my size. They didn’t have that one, so she sent me this option instead. The pattern is just a bit too busy for me this time, but I’m hoping they’ll have more kimono options in the future.
Skies are Blue Shaolin Crepe Cold Shoulder Dress, $58 – Returned
Although I love how flowy this dress is and I loved the shoulder cut-outs on my previous Stitch Fix selection, this look just wasn’t working for me. I found the detailing to be a bit weird and not quite right, and Reg said I looked like a sci-fi character, haha.
BC Footwear Dinky Fringe Sandal, $60 – Kept
Stitch Fix just launched their new shoe service, and right when I pulled these out of the box, I LOVED them. I have very few sandals, and I absolutely adore how boho these are! I nearly sent them back after trying them on because they were not super comfortable, but I wore them around the house for a few minutes and decided that they would probably more comfy after being worn in a bit. Plus, these are perfect for short trips to the coffee shop or bakery anyways.
What do you think of the items I received this month? Do you agree my choices?
