This colorful polka dot outfit has two things I don’t normally do: it’s a dress and it incorporates a fair amount of color. For some reason in the last year or two, I’ve moved away from wearing skirts and dresses and more to a standard pair of skinny jeans. Haha, maybe it’s because I finally gave up dressing up for my 16 coworkers! Working in a small office is not quite like being in college or having a social job where you’re always being “seen” by people.
Colorful outfits have never really been my thing, though. I’m very drawn to muted shades of purple, green, and blue, as well as greys and blacks. That being said, I absolutely love what this outfit is doing! It’s not so bold I don’t feel comfortable wearing it, thanks to the dark navy dress and the forest green sweater, but the pops of purple, yellow, and red add accents and make it so much more exciting to look at. This awesome graffiti background I found doesn’t hurt either!
What’s a clothing style that’s a little out of your comfort zone, but you’d like to try out anyways?
